Review ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Sometimes, it is hard to pin point why you like a band or not, such is the case with Alchemist. These Aussies really managed to get me interested after a single listen. Not only do they combine the amazing power of metal with rock, new age, electronics and just plain experimentation. The beauty of this record is within this experimentation they keep every single song engaging and catchy. They really have a gift for keeping things interesting while sometimes sounding like Ministry, sometimes like Depeche Mode others like Midnight Oil (maybe in the same song), and keeping all that cohesive. This is just great music and I am still not sure how they do it and why exactly I like it. Either way, it is good so it is all that matters. Highly recommended.
